About Askra
What is Askra, and how is it related to Hyperliquid?
Askra is an independent web frontend that connects to the Hyperliquid exchange. It is not an exchange and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Hyperliquid Labs. Orders execute on Hyperliquid; Askra provides the trading interface and extra features on top.
How is it different from the official Hyperliquid app?
It uses the same account, the same order book and the same execution. Askra adds a free-form workspace, live liquidation and whale alerts across exchanges, and language-based chat with position share cards.
Is it free? What are the fees?
There is no usage charge. A builder fee is added on top of Hyperliquid's trading fees: 0.03% on perpetuals and 0% on spot. The order form shows the combined fee.
What is a builder fee?
It is the official fee Hyperliquid allows frontend operators to charge. It is only applied within the limit you approve with a wallet signature (up to 0.05%), and cannot be charged without your approval.
Security
Where are my funds held? Can Askra withdraw them?
Your assets stay in your wallet and your Hyperliquid account. Askra never holds funds or private keys and cannot withdraw. Deposits, withdrawals and transfers always require a signature from your main wallet.
What am I signing in "Enable trading"?
A signature that registers a trading key created on this device (a Hyperliquid API wallet) with your account. A wallet using Askra for the first time is first asked for one more signature to approve the builder fee. Neither signature costs gas.
Where is the trading key stored? What if it leaks?
The trading key is stored only in this browser and is never sent to Askra servers. It can place and cancel orders but cannot withdraw. It expires after the validity period you choose (7, 30 or 90 days) and can be deleted in settings at any time.
Can I revoke the fee approval?
Yes. The builder fee approval is recorded on your Hyperliquid account and is revoked by signing the same approval again at 0%. After revoking, you will need to approve again before placing new orders through Askra.
Getting started
Which wallets are supported? Does it work on mobile?
EVM wallets including MetaMask, Rabby, OKX Wallet, Phantom, Trust Wallet and Coinbase Wallet. Mobile wallets connect through a WalletConnect QR code.
How do I deposit?
Deposit USDC on the Arbitrum network to Hyperliquid from Deposit in the account menu. The minimum is 5 USDC. Funds sent from another network may not be recoverable, so check the network carefully.
Will I see my existing Hyperliquid account and positions?
Yes. Connect the same wallet and your balances, positions, open orders and history appear as they are. Orders placed through Askra also show up in the official Hyperliquid app.
Trading
Which order types are supported?
Market, limit (GTC, IOC, post-only), stop market and stop limit, scale and TWAP. You can attach TP/SL to an order and set reduce-only.
What are HIP-3 markets?
Perpetual markets deployed on Hyperliquid by third-party operators. They cover assets that are not in the core markets, such as equity indices and commodities, and each market can have its own oracle and trading conditions.
Community
Is my wallet address visible in chat?
No. Chat shows only your nickname and a five-character tag derived from your address. Your wallet address is not shown to other users.
What does "verified" mean on a position share card?
The numbers on the card were not typed by the user. The server looked up that account's actual position from Hyperliquid's public data and filled them in. You choose whether the PnL amount is shown.
